Oracle Linux 8 Installation on Oracle VM Virtual Machine:
Note :
1. To install oracle database and EBS applications we need
Linux Operation system for best performance.
2. We can use Oracle database Preinstall RPM to Configure Oracle
Linux operation system for oracle database and Applications.
Download Oracle Linux 8.X boot image from e-delivery site . https://edelivery.oracle.com/
For this site login you should have login credentials for
you can use you own gmail or other accounts and then you can able to download
all the oracle software’s freely from there.
After login you can type Oracle Linux and click on search ..
If you want you can download dvd also , here I am downloading
only boot image iso file .
That’s it now you have Linux 8 boot image that you can import to Oracle VM machine as showed in below .
After this start your VM machine and then choose install
Linux software that will boot and follow the below snaps .
Make sure all warning we have to clear before proceeding
further here .
Frist we are doing network and host setups .
Next installation source here we are using public yum update
Next Software selection here I left default
Next installation destination , here I can create few standard mount points with minimum size.
Then Click on begin installation
It will prompt you to reset root password and gives you the option to create new users also but here I am going with root user only .
This concludes Oracle Linux 8.X Successfully installed on
Oracle VM Virtual Machine .
