Dear All,
In this post i am going to share the below information.
Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 (EBS 12.2) certification with Oracle Database 23ai
on Database Cloud Services for Commercial Cloud.
>>> Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Release 12.2 is now certified with Oracle Database 23ai for on-premises Exadata Database Machine , Oracle Exadata Software version 24.1 (ExaOL8X) or later.
Ø As an EBS 12.2 on-premises Exadata customer, once your system meets all of the necessary prerequisites you may upgrade to Oracle Database 23ai, specifically Release Update 23.5.
Oracle recently Announced that Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Release 12.2 is now certified for Commercial Cloud with Oracle Database 23ai (DB 23ai) on the following database cloud services:
Ø Oracle Base Database Service
Ø Oracle Exadata Database Service on Dedicated Infrastructure
Ø Oracle Exadata Database Service on Cloud@Customer
As an EBS 12.2 customer running on one of these database cloud services in a commercial cloud region, once your system meets all of the necessary prerequisites you may upgrade to Oracle Database 23ai, specifically Release Update 23.5.

The latest long term release of Oracle
Database is currently DB 23ai. The previous long term release of Oracle
Database was Oracle Database 19c.
What's the Latest Information Regarding Support for EBS Databases?
Most EBS customers have by now completed upgrades to Oracle Database 19c (DB 19c). If you are still running an older Oracle Database release, you should make plans to upgrade to DB 19c as soon as possible.
ØThose who are using older than 19C you have to upgrade your databases to 19C.
or perform an export/import from 12cR1/11gR2.
Ø DB 19c is the only database release with a direct upgrade path to DB 23ai and Oracle provides you Error Correction Support.
Notes : Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 End of Error Correction Support for Oracle Database 12c Release 12.1.0.2 and 11g Release 11.2.0.4 (MOS Note 3051860.1),
Release Schedule of Current Database Releases (MOS Note 742060.1)
What Can You Do Now to Get Your EBS Environment Ready for Oracle Database 23ai?
Ø Upgrade to Oracle Database 19C :
Prior to upgrading to oracle 23ai your database should be 19C. bcz there no direct upgrades for lower than 19C. ( export and imports will support for 12cr1/11gr2***)
Ø Be on the EBS Error Correction baseline or later :
The Error correction support baseline is EBS 12.2.7 for DB 23ai, all EBS Products you are running must be at the 12.2.7 or higher. (MOS Note 1195034.1)
Ø Perform the EBS System Schema Migration :
The EBS System Migration delivers enhancements that remove dependencies on database features that are desupported with oracle database 23ai.
Performing the EBS System Schema Migration which includes applying the EBS System Schema Migration Completion Patch is a prerequisite for upgrading your EBS database to DB 23ai.
MOS Note 2755875.1 , MOS Note 2758999.1
Ø Prepare your EBS Database:
In order to upgrade to DB 23ai, all EBS products you are running must be at the 12.2.7 release level or later. One step you can take now to get your EBS 12.2 environment ready for the upcoming certification with DB 23ai is to be on the EBS Error Correction Baseline or later. Our recommendation is that you update to the latest EBS 12.2 RUP which is currently 12.2.14.
i) Enabled Unified Auditing : Traditional auditing is desupported with Database 23ai, unified Auditing is enabled by default, for more details see MOS Note – 2777404.1
ii) Converts Case insensitive PDB Name : Case sensitive PDB names are desupported with EBS and Database 23ai for more details See MOS Note – 2782130.1
Additional Prerequisites for EBS R12.2 Database 23ai :
Ø Update to a future database upgrade code level for AD and TXK : AD and TXK are being enhanced with new features and for compatibility with Oracle Database 23ai.
Ø Apply the Interoperability Patche for EBS Product Compatibility with Oracle Database 23ai.
What's New for EBS with Oracle Database 23ai?
Ø Upgrading from DB 19c to DB 23ai is achieved using the Oracle Database AutoUpgrade utility.
Ø With the certification of Oracle Database 23ai, a new utility called Oracle E-Business Suite Database Parameter Checker (EDBPC) is now available. EDPBC can be run to confirm that you have correctly set your EBS DB 23ai or 19c database initialization parameters according to recommendations in Database Initialization Parameters for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (MOS Note 396009.1). etc
Note: The Database Upgrade Assistant (DBUA) used to upgrade EBS databases to Database 11gR2, 12cR1, and 19c is now desupported.
