How to Apply Latest Jan-2025 RU patches on Oracle 19C DB

 Hi All,

In this post i am sharing how to download and apply oracle 19c Jan 2025 RU patches .

Download the patches from support.oracle.com and copy to your local machine and then do the unzip and start pre-requisites.

reference patch information Metalink id.

 Select the latest RU patch number and click .

select the database RU or Grid RU as per your requirement.

read the readme file and click on download .

download InProgress 

then copy the patches to database server unzip and do the pre-requisites checks.

check the opatch version

 

we met the opatch version so no need to upgrade opatch version.

copy patch from local system to database server using winscp.

unzip the patch and check pre-requisites 

unzip p37260974_190000_Linux-x86-64.zip

cd 37260974

opatch prereq CheckConflictAgainstOHWithDetail -ph ./

unzip completed 

take invalid object count and stop the database and listener apply the patch using opatch.

start applying the patch.

patch applied successfully 

start the database and listener 

run the datapatch verbose ... 

Release the instance for business.
